Is BIOHEAL BOH popular in Korea? If you follow K-beauty outside Korea, you may have started seeing the brand more often.
Its purple Probioderm 3D Lifting Cream is now sold through Olive Young’s US store, and the brand has expanded into serums, masks, mists and collagen-focused skincare.
But whenever a Korean beauty brand becomes more visible overseas, I want to check a different question:
Is it actually popular in Korea too?
For BIOHEAL BOH, the answer is yes — with an important qualification.
Its strongest Korean position is not “skincare in general.” It is lifting and firming skincare inside Olive Young.
That distinction is what makes the brand worth looking at.
The short answer
BIOHEAL BOH is a CJ Olive Young private brand with a history in Korea going back to 2013.
According to CJ Olive Young’s official BIOHEAL BOH brand page, BIOHEAL BOH ranked No. 1 by sales in Olive Young’s lifting/firming brand segment from February 2024 through October 2025.
For creams, Olive Young gives an even more specific claim: the combined sales of Probioderm Lifting Cream and Probioderm 3D Lifting Cream ranked No. 1 in the retailer’s lifting/firming cream category from January 2024 through October 2025.
That is stronger evidence than simply saying the brand is “viral in Korea.”
It shows where BIOHEAL BOH is actually strong:
firming and elasticity care.
BIOHEAL BOH started inside Olive Young
BIOHEAL BOH did not arrive in Korea as an overseas trend.
Its history is tied directly to Olive Young.
CJ Olive Young says the brand began in 2013 as Botanic Hill BOH, its first private beauty brand. It was repositioned as Botanic Heal boH in 2016, developed into a larger skincare brand through products including Panthenol Cream and Probioderm Repair Cream, and was relaunched as BIOHEAL BOH in 2021 as an anti-aging derma skincare brand.
The company says that 2021 relaunch also marked the start of a broader international push, including launches on Rakuten and at Mannings in Hong Kong.
You can see the full timeline on CJ Olive Young’s BIOHEAL BOH history page.
That background matters because it changes the way I would describe the brand.
BIOHEAL BOH is not a case where overseas TikTok attention created a Korean bestseller.
It is a Korean Olive Young brand that already had a domestic retail position before its current international expansion.
The product at the center: Probioderm 3D Lifting Cream
If you want to understand why BIOHEAL BOH is known in Korea, start with the Probioderm 3D Lifting Cream.
CJ Olive Young currently presents it as the brand’s hero product and says the Probioderm lifting cream line has accumulated eight Olive Young Awards wins.
The same official page also says the current 3D Lifting Cream won the cream category at the 2025 Qoo10 Mega Beauty Awards in Japan.
But the Korean sales claim is the more useful one for this article.
Olive Young states that the combined Probioderm Lifting Cream and 3D Lifting Cream held the No. 1 sales position in its lifting/firming cream category from January 2024 through October 2025.
That does not mean BIOHEAL BOH is Korea’s No. 1 moisturizer across every category.
In fact, when I checked Korean moisturizer rankings for my guide to Korean moisturizers, other brands led broad hydration and soothing categories.
BIOHEAL BOH’s strength is narrower and more specific.
That is exactly why the “No. 1” claim needs context.
No. 1 in Olive Young’s lifting/firming cream segment is not the same thing as No. 1 Korean moisturizer overall.
What is Probioderm?
“Probioderm” is the name BIOHEAL BOH uses across its flagship firming line.
The current 3D Lifting Cream formula listed by Olive Young US includes Lactobacillus ferment lysate and Lactobacillus ferment, along with moisturizing ingredients such as glycerin, panthenol and beta-glucan, plus adenosine and multiple peptides.
BIOHEAL BOH also describes PROBIODERM™ as one of its proprietary brand technologies.
I would be careful about translating that ingredient story into a bigger claim than the evidence supports.
The useful consumer takeaway is simpler:
BIOHEAL BOH has built the Probioderm line around moisturizing, elasticity and firming-focused skincare, rather than around one globally fashionable ingredient such as heartleaf or PDRN.
Why BIOHEAL BOH is different from Anua
BIOHEAL BOH makes an interesting comparison with Anua.
When I checked whether Anua is actually popular in Korea, the answer came from a mix of Olive Young Awards history and current Korean product rankings.
BIOHEAL BOH has a different pattern.
Its strongest evidence comes from a very specific Olive Young segment: lifting and firming.
That means the two brands should not be compared simply by asking which one is “more popular.”
They occupy different positions.
Anua has strong visibility across toner, cleansing and newer PDRN products.
BIOHEAL BOH has built a clearer identity around firming skincare, with the Probioderm cream line at the center.
This is a recurring theme in Korean beauty rankings:
a brand can be genuinely popular in Korea without ranking at the top of every skincare category.
What else is popular from BIOHEAL BOH?
The Probioderm cream may be the hero product, but it is not the only BIOHEAL BOH item with a measurable sales history.
Panthecell Repair Cica Cream Mist
CJ Olive Young says the Panthecell Repair Cica Cream Mist reached 1.5 million units in cumulative sales from August 2023 through September 2025.
That figure comes directly from the official BIOHEAL BOH brand page.
The product is positioned around immediate moisture and sensitive-skin care rather than firming.
That makes it useful evidence that BIOHEAL BOH’s Korean business is broader than one purple cream.
It also appears on Olive Young US’s BIOHEAL BOH brand page, where the store currently labels it as one of the brand’s best-selling products.
That US label is a signal about the US store, not proof of Korean sales, so I would keep the two pieces of evidence separate.
Probioderm Collagen Remodeling Serum and Cream
BIOHEAL BOH has also expanded the Probioderm family into Collagen Remodeling products.
On the brand’s official site, the Collagen Remodeling Serum and Cream are positioned around the appearance of pores, skin texture and elasticity.
This is a newer branch of the line, so I would not give it the same historical weight as the 3D Lifting Cream.
But it shows how BIOHEAL BOH is extending the Probioderm identity beyond one hero moisturizer.
Which BIOHEAL BOH product makes the most sense?
| Main concern | Product I would look at first | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Firmness + richer moisture | Probioderm 3D Lifting Cream | The brand’s best-established firming product |
| Pores + elasticity | Probioderm Collagen Remodeling Serum | Newer line focused on pore appearance and texture |
| Pores + moisturizer | Probioderm Collagen Remodeling Cream | Cream format within the same remodeling line |
| Dry or sensitive-feeling skin | Panthecell Repair Cica Cream Mist | Moisture-focused product with a documented 1.5 million-unit sales history |
| Trying BIOHEAL BOH for the first time | Probioderm 3D Lifting Cream | The clearest product for understanding the brand’s Korean identity |
I would not choose BIOHEAL BOH simply because you want “the best Korean skincare.”
That question is too broad.
The brand makes more sense if you already know that firmness, elasticity or richer moisturizing care is what you are looking for.
Is the 3D Lifting Cream really a “lifting” treatment?
This is where the marketing language deserves some context.
“Lifting” appears prominently in BIOHEAL BOH’s product name and retailer claims.
But a cosmetic cream is not the same thing as a dermatology procedure or an energy-based lifting treatment.
A moisturizer can improve hydration and temporarily make skin look smoother or plumper. Cosmetic testing can also measure changes in the appearance of firmness, wrinkles or elasticity under specific study conditions.
That still does not mean a topical cream physically lifts facial tissue in the way consumers might imagine from an in-clinic procedure.
So I would evaluate Probioderm 3D Lifting Cream as:
a rich moisturizer marketed for firmness and elasticity.
I would not treat it as a substitute for a medical or aesthetic procedure.
That distinction makes the product easier to assess fairly.
BIOHEAL BOH and “slow aging”
BIOHEAL BOH is now also being marketed internationally through the language of slow aging.
As of September 2026, Olive Young US’s Slow Aging Edit features BIOHEAL BOH alongside Anua and REJURAN, with the Probioderm 3D Lifting Cream presented for overnight firming care.
This is useful evidence of the way Olive Young is currently positioning the brand for US shoppers.
I would not use one promotional page to claim that all Korean consumers have replaced the term “anti-aging” with “slow aging.”
But it does show that slow aging is now part of BIOHEAL BOH’s current retail positioning, especially as the brand expands internationally.
Is BIOHEAL BOH popular outside Korea now?
Yes, its international distribution is clearly expanding.
CJ Olive Young says BIOHEAL BOH began a broader global push with its 2021 relaunch.
Today, the dedicated Olive Young US BIOHEAL BOH store carries the 3D Lifting Cream, Panthecell Repair Cica Cream Mist, Collagen Remodeling products and multiple other products from the brand.
The US page also repeats the same carefully defined No. 1 claim:
the combined Probioderm Lifting Cream and Probioderm 3D Lifting Cream ranked No. 1 by sales in Olive Young’s lifting/firming cream category from January 2024 through October 2025.
That is useful because the international marketing is not inventing a completely new story.
It is exporting a position the brand had already built inside Olive Young Korea.
Should you buy BIOHEAL BOH in Korea?
If you are shopping in Korea, BIOHEAL BOH is easy to find through Olive Young.
But I would not assume that every BIOHEAL BOH product is automatically cheaper in Korea.
When I compared K-beauty prices in Korea and the US, the biggest lesson was that the final value depends on the exact SKU, pack size, bundle and promotion.
That matters especially at Olive Young, where Korean “gihoek” sets can include larger sizes, refills or additional products.
And if you are shopping during one of the retailer’s major promotions, check my Olive Young Sale Guide before comparing prices.
For BIOHEAL BOH, I would compare the exact configuration rather than just the percentage discount.
A 50 ml cream, a cream-plus-ampoule set and a gift bundle are not the same purchase.
So, is BIOHEAL BOH actually popular in Korea?
So, is BIOHEAL BOH popular in Korea? Yes — especially within Olive Young’s lifting and firming skincare segment.
But the reason matters.
The strongest evidence is not a viral video, an Amazon badge or a vague claim that “Koreans love it.”
It is Olive Young’s own sales data.
BIOHEAL BOH ranked No. 1 by sales in Olive Young’s lifting/firming brand segment from February 2024 through October 2025.
Its Probioderm Lifting Cream and Probioderm 3D Lifting Cream, counted together, ranked No. 1 by sales in the retailer’s lifting/firming cream category from January 2024 through October 2025.
The Probioderm line also has a long Olive Young Awards history, while the Panthecell Repair Cica Cream Mist has a separately reported cumulative sales figure of 1.5 million units from August 2023 through September 2025.
That is enough to answer the original question.
BIOHEAL BOH is genuinely established in Korea, especially in firming and elasticity skincare.
Its growing overseas visibility is not creating that Korean position from scratch.
It is taking an Olive Young success story to a wider market.
And that is the distinction I care about at Picked in Korea:
not just what is trending because it is Korean, but what has measurable evidence of selling in Korea itself.
